The previous pages have told the story of  the diaspora of the children and grandchildren of John Harland (1854) of Bessbrook in County Armagh, Northern Ireland. Despite being scattered right round the world this sept has kept in touch.

John Harland’s first four sons each married a girl for a different continent.

Tom Harland (1881)  did not have any grandchildren. So the next generation following on is:-

Willie Harland had one grandchild born and living near Melbourne Australia - Pamela Harland (1946)

Jack Harland (1885) had one grandchild born and living in Atlanta Georgia - Margaret Conant (1955)

Wallace Harland’s (1888) story  is more complicated.
In 2004,
his eldest son John (1923) lives in Kelowna,  British Columbia Canada.
There are three grandchildren -
Janet Harland (1952)  in Olds Alberta,
Christine Harland (1954) lives in Calgary Alberta,  
Jack Harland(1957)  lives in Vancouver BC.

Wallace’s (1888) second son Robin Harland (1926) lives in Belfast, Northern Ireland. He had 5 sons.
In 2004.
Wallace Harland (1955) lives in Manila, Philippines,
Patrick Harland (1956) lives with his father in Belfast.
David Harland (1956) lives in Dublin.
Simon Harland(1958)lives in Belfast
Dermod Harland (1963) died from complications of  his diabetes on 3 Mar 1997

Wallace’s (1888) third son Arthur Harland (1926) died on  9 Jan 1985. He had four children.
In 2004,
June Harland (1956) lives in  Glasgow, Scotland
William Harland (1957)  lives in Trinity Beach, Queensland, Australia.
John Paul Harland (1959) lives  in Nice, France.
Richard Harland (1966) lives in Munich Germany

The stories of  these 14  great-grandchildren, 20 great-great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-great-grandchildren (in 2004)  awaits the penmanship of future archivists and  historians.
